It all started back in 1973at the end of the Apollo moon missions. Bob Effin was a young aerospace engineer who had put a man on the moon and was ready to move on to even bigger things.

While growing up in Ogden,Utah, Bob was a huge fan of  rock icons such as Richie Valens,Chuck Berry,Elvis, and Eddie Cochran. All Bob ever wanted to do was play rock and roll like his heroes,but through a fortunate turn of events, his life went in a different direction. He invented his own integrated circuit ham radio at age nine and received the Eisenhower Youth Achievement Award in 1956. Bob was sent on a fast track to M.I.T. and was contracted by J.F.K. to head up the space race in 1961 at the young age of 22. The rest is history, but Bob Effin still had a dream to fulfill.  The dream was Effingood. Although he was never able to achieve commercial success as a rock-n-roll demigod, he took his God-given talents and created some of the best boutique hand wired tube amps we have ever heard.
